Andrew Harris

Andrew is the Managing Director of Harris Carlson Lawyers and has extensive experience advising in a diverse range of clients, from large multinational private companies to high wealth individuals.

Andrew’s prior experience (including as General Counsel for a multi-national and publicly listed technology company) contributes to him providing commercial advice on a broad range of commercial and general business related matters overseeing the firms services in the area of corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, employment, intellectual property and general contractual matters.

Andrew also acts for a number of bankruptcy trustees in relation to personal insolvency matters.

Andrew is also legal counsel and a Director of his beloved North Melbourne Football Club.

Meg Sullivan

Meg is a Director and leads the commercial litigation team at Harris Carlson Lawyers.  Meg has a depth of experience in acting for a range of litigants in both State and Federal jurisdictions. 

While Meg’s practice covers a range of areas, she has a particular passion for bankruptcy and corporate insolvency, along with debt recovery and enforcement.   Meg advises insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors.

Meg formulates and advises clients on a path to resolution that is both commercial and pragmatic, taking into consideration the specific needs of each client and circumstance.  Meg prides herself on her exceptional client service and pragmatic approach to both pre-litigation and litigated disputes.

Michael Clements

After joining Harris Carlson Lawyers in 2009, Michael was appointed as a Director in 2012 and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Property team.

With diverse prior experience gained whilst completing his articles and practicing as a solicitor in regional Victoria, Michael’s practice incorporates a broad range of commercial disciplines, with an emphasis on Business Advisory and Property related transactions. Michael also advises on Personal and Business Structuring, Succession Planning, Wills and Estates.

Michael’s experience, acting for long-standing corporate and individual clients across a range of industries, is founded on the provision of carefully considered and commercially balanced advice.

Michael also served three consecutive terms on the Board of The Real Estate Institute of Victoria, being appointed as an Additional Director between 2019 and 2022.

Laura Hogg

As a Director, Laura is the head of our pre-litigation and transactional Bankruptcy and Proceeds of Crime team, and the lead in our Employment Law department.

Laura acts on behalf of both Registered Trustees and the Official Trustee in Bankruptcy in personal bankruptcy matters, and acts on behalf of the Official Trustee in its proceeds of crime jurisdiction. Within the employment law space, Laura primarily acts on behalf of employers, from start-ups to multi-national corporations.

Each of these discreet areas of Law are covered by a large volume of legislation and common law and Laura is able to assist her clients in all aspects of these complex areas, with a goal of providing clients with workable solutions. Laura recognises that the human element is especially important in these areas and understands that each situation is unique and has its own discrete issues. With this understanding, Laura works with her clients to adapt and tailor an approach to achieve effective outcomes.

Andrew Liu

Andrew is an experienced corporate lawyer who works closely with senior management and company executives on M&A and other significant business transactions and projects.  He works with a range of local and international clients to provide corporate governance, regulatory compliance and major contract advice. 

Andrew’s experience covers a broad range of sectors in the economy, including financial services, information technology, consumer goods and services, general industrials and transportation.

Caitlyn Hoey

Caitlyn practices in our bankruptcy and insolvency and commercial litigation and dispute resolution teams.  Caitlyn regularly appears in both the State and Federal courts on behalf of trustees and liquidators.

Caitlyn holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice and a Bachelor of International Relations from Flinders University (SA) and was admitted to practise in Victoria in 2018.

Caitlyn is a member of Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Victoria and Victorian Women’s Lawyers.

Alex Dole

Alex joined Harris Carlson Lawyers in 2021, after spending three years working in Germany where he worked as a translator assisting Volkswagen’s marketing team.

During Alex’s time at Harris Carlson Lawyers, he has gained vast experience across a broad range of areas in our Commercial, Property and Litigation teams. Alex was also admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2023 with the firm’s encouragement and support.

Alex has established himself as an invaluable member of the firm, continuing to work across our Commercial, Property and Litigation departments. His considered approach to matters allows Alex to provide thorough and well-thought-out advice to clients.

Drew Laing

Drew practices in our Estate Planning & Succession, Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions teams.

Drew joined Harris Carlson in late 2009 and has returned to the firm after working for a national firm from October 2017 until August 2019.Prior to joining us, Drew gained experience in a variety of general practice areas, including Estate Planning and general commercial advice in a New Zealand firm, prior to moving to Melbourne in 2005 and working as a Senior Estate Planning Lawyer for State Trustees and then joining the Regulation Directorate of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in 2007.

Susan Hamidi

Susan holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and has been working in the legal industry since 2017. Susan assists with transactions involving real property in bankruptcy and proceeds of crime in all States and Territories of Australia.

Bonnie Pitchford

Bonnie commenced her legal career in New Zealand, obtaining her Bachelors degrees in Law and Arts at the University of Auckland.

Following her move to Melbourne in 2023 and joining Harris Carlson Lawyers, Bonnie was admitted to practice as an Australian lawyer. Bonnie works in our Property Law department on a wide range of projects in the residential, commercial and rural property areas, and provides sound commercial advice in connection with a variety of property transactions and dealings.

With extensive experience in the area of Property Law, Bonnie is skilled in considering the holistic needs of clients, understanding their goals and delivering efficient and effective outcomes.

Lucinda Buckley

Lucinda holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide and has been working in the legal industry since 2012.

Upon joining Harris Carlson Lawyers in January 2021, Lucinda quickly established herself within the firm’s Property team, focusing on conveyancing and general property transactions, including retail leasing, adverse possession and contract review and advice. Lucinda also assists with transactions involving real property in bankruptcy related matters.

Naomi Wilde

Naomi joined the Property team at Harris Carlson Lawyers in 2023.

Having worked in the legal industry for over 20 years, Naomi has completed an Advanced Diploma of Legal Practice and an Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing and has extensive experience in a variety of property matters, from residential and commercial sales and purchases to large scale sub-divisions and staged developments.

Naomi prides herself on ensuring her clients feel supported throughout the property transaction process.

Mia Wilson

Mia joined Harris Carlson Lawyers in 2020 and assists the Property and Commercial teams in a wide range of property matters.

Mia has been working in the legal industry since 2015. Prior to joining Harris Carlson Lawyers, Mia gained valuable experience working as a conveyancer for a regional law firm in country Victoria as well as a boutique firm based in Central London.

Mia is currently completing her Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing to become a licensed conveyancer and is a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers.

Mia is on parental leave at present.
